Bharatiya Janata Party has released the 12th list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. In this list, candidates have also been announced for two seats in Uttar Pradesh. But the name of the candidate for Kaiserganj seat has not been announced yet. MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is still in trouble.
Candidates have been announced for only two seats in UP, Shashank Mani Tripathi from Deoria and Thakur Vishwadeep Singh from Firozabad seat will be in the fray. No decision has been taken yet on the Kaiserganj seat of current MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in UP.
The ticket of sitting MP Ramapati Ram Tripathi has been canceled from Deoria seat. The party has fielded Shashank Mani Tripathi from Deoria seat. Shashank’s father Prakash Mani Tripathi has also been an MP. Chandra Sen Jadaun, the sitting MP from Firozabad Lok Sabha seat, has also been removed. In place of Jadaun, BJP has placed its bet on Kshatriya face Thakur Vishwadeep Singh.
Out of the 75 seats in UP on which BJP is contesting, candidates have not been announced only for Rae Bareli and Kaiserganj seats. After the announcement of Congress candidate in Rae Bareli, BJP will field the candidate. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, the current MP from Kaiserganj seat, remains the thorn in the side of BJP.
